The cartridge is optimized for fast pumping and requires no cleaning, just replacement once it clogs. The water ouput is typically good for groups of 1 to 2 but can easily be used for larger groups on short trips.

The filter cartridge will filter around 1,150 L of water before needing to be replaced. However, the actual amount of water processed per cartridge will vary depending upon water clarity. It is always recommended to prefilter water before using a filter.
