The Ultralight seam-tapped 15D silicon/PU-backed ripstop nylon rain fly and 30D Silicon/PU-backed ripstop nylon floor offer some of the best water protection in the industry. We kept the weight low with a single zippered entrance and one peak vent for humidity control built into the fly. A third cross pole provides vertical sidewalls, maximizing headroom. Stay organized with six internal pockets and numerous ceiling loops for lights and other storage items. Footprint is included in the Kestrel UL 3P + Footprint Combo. The footprint is used as a form-fitted tarp to protect the bottom of your tent from wear with the ground. By using the footprint, you are extending the life of your tent. As an additional option, the footprint can be used in combination with the poles and rain fly of the tent in Fast Flight mode to create a much lighter shelter for when conditions and objectives allow.
